Upper-end homes are a specialized market segment whose homes typically offer any array amenities which offer home buyers a heightened level of design, quality, utility and craftsmanship. These homes offer a higher standard of living than most and typically come with higher price tags. Homes with luxury amenities can be found in wide range of home market segments but what is typically recognized as the upper-end market is luxury properties with pricing levels between $5 and $100 million dollars plus.
This market segment, $5 million to $100 million accounted for 12% of the residential market place so far in 2009 with 26 properties transacting according to Greenwich MLS data.
