The State of Connecticut has 149 CT public school districts (including Greenwich) and 17 regional districts serving some nearly 1,300 schools. The overall student population numbers nearly 600,000 enrolled in some 636 elementary schools, 278 middle and 181 high schools. Each of the 149 districts features choices for elementary, middle and high schools.
